I discovered this dorama yesterday, and I absolutely must have it. It sounds like "House of Flying Daggers"(which I adore despite the flashy padding) but with most ofthe attention given to "oooo...pretty" and "Dramatic tension" being devoted to story and characterization.

A case of counterfeiting money troubles the Police Bureau of Hansung, the old capital city of Korea. Jang Chae-Ok (Ha Ji Won) a young lady police detective, is sent by Commander Hwangbo Yoon (Lee Seo Jin) to investigate the case. However, what appears to be a small case of counterfeiting turns out to be a much larger national conspiracy. Also, while it was the story that interested me, along with the extremely high praise everywhere I could find mention of it, it also looks so very pretty.
