1. I seem to be in the mood for sweet things lately. I know this because I bought 2 nowhere-near finished boxes of Klondike bars last week and 2 packages of Little Debbie's snack cakes this week. And I have been buying chocolate things out of the snack machine at work lately.
2. Speaking of buying things I don't need, Wal0Mart has the first 4 seasons of
Stargate SG-1 on sale for $20 each(well, they may have more than the first 4 seasons on sale, but that's all I saw...) I got myself season 2 because it's what I could afford. I'm hoping they stay on sale for about a month.
3. I watched a bit of the kdrama
Green Rose...it looks like something I will enjoy greatly but am not currently in the mood for.
4. Directly related to that, I believe the nonstop drama watching and increasing stack(that did not exist a month aho) of US TV shows has caused a temporary dorama burnout. It shall probably only last as long as it takes to watch season 2 of either
Bones or
Supernatural. And maybe the Amanda Root version of
Persuasion, which Amazon was kind enough to have for pretty cheap a few weeks ago.
5. I have spent most of today beginning the upload of pics in my harddrive(screencaps, promo photos, etc) to
Calixa's Epic Dorama Gallery of Wuxia Proportions to clear up disc space. I have barely started...not even halfway through the asian movie/dorama bulk folder and already have 584 pics uploaded...what I have so far(and what the rest will be added to) is
here if anyone wants to see. As of typing this, the
Fantasy Couple pics are only half done.
6. While looking at a thread about what Jin Yong character would make the best marriage material, I came across this gem:
No Jin Yong character is marriage material: you'd NEVER be able to purchase life or medical insurance again. Given the poisonings and such, I must agree. Plus the fact that I have seen productions of 2 of his series and three characters have lost arms...2 of whom were main characters...I am also, on principle, very fond of the person who said the reason Chengzhi always behaved with and never did anything with Ah Jie is because he was faithful and devoted to Qing Qing. Yes, a piece of my brain still dwells on those who insist that there's something wrong with him for not cheating and/or switching affections because the other girl is prettier and more demure...
