Stargate SG-1: Season 9, eps 5-8
Apr. 15th, 2008 12:30 pmThere is an appalling lack of Bra’tac and Thor so far this season. And Ishta, but I accept I won’t be getting her back. Whatever. Teal’c still sneaks off-world every other weekend to visit her and ask Ry’ac when he’s going to give him grandbabies. Or so says my world.
The question is, will I be able to make myself watch season 2 of SGA anytime soon after this? At this point, only the eventually coming of Sam and the sheer awesomeness of Teyla are much of an incentive. Oh, and the very pretty man with dreads. I'm assured I'll like him. Being reminded of how much better SG-1 is only makes my problems with SGA stand out more. (I love Ford, too, but I know he’s only around a bit in S2, and Weir SHOULD be the most awesome thing ever, but the writers are so cheerfully at butchering her to make Sheppard look good-and failing miserably because it still always just comes across as his and McKay’s stupidity forcing her into bad positions so she has to try to clean up their mess, but we aren’t supposed to notice who caused the mess-that it’s painful to watch, and it’s a large part of what’s making it hard for me to more than passingly like Sheppard, and while I liked McKay is SG-1 after his first couple appearances, he mostly annoyed me there.)
Hmmm...you know, I actually can’t tell who’s leading SG-1, Sam or Cameron.
ETA: Speaking of Teyla, I need a Teyla Icon. Someone want to point me to some? I believe I've seen one with text along the lines of "someone needs to be reminded that kneecapping is a privilege, not a right," but can't remember where I saw it.ETA 2: Speaking of icons, another one I've seen around is Sam looking at Daniel and Cameron with text saying "and then she realized...they were all just alike." Can anyone point me to that one?
