May. 21st, 2008 01:39 pmDespite the fact that I am not supposed to buy books until after A-Kon, today I went and got myself the first volume of Magic Knights Rayearth, the first 2 volumes of X/1999, and the first Volume of Angel Sanctuary. (I bought a Kaori Yuki manga...save me...) In my defense, they were only $5 each. (Also, they had volume 3 of Legal Drug, but not the first 2...sadness.) What I did NOT get was the third Hikkatsu: Strike A Blow to Vivify, which is why I was there in the first place. They, ah, shall all be waiting until after A-Kon. I think the brain needs a break.
I do not recommend reading 100~ chapters of Clamp in the space of a week to anyone. Ever. No matter how amazing the crack and the angst are.
Also, has anyone read Cross? They also had the first volume of that for $5, but I suspect Angel Sanctuary will already test my religious(and other) sensibilities to their limits.

Dear Fashion Industry:
I know we have discussed this before, but please realize that short people come in plus sizes. Sometimes, all these short people in plus sizes want is a pair of plain jeans. Please, for the love of me, realize this.
Also, needed new sneakers because the soles on the old ones are falling off. Got home and realized I bought the exact same pair. Evidence of the incredible simplicity of my brain when it comes to clothes.
ETA: Also, I skimmed Clamp's Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, and...wtf? Huh? What? I think the little bit I understood was traumatizing...
