SAVE ME!

So, all week long, calixa  has been babbling to me about Gintama. I read the first volume and a half or so in scanslations a while back to see if I liked it, and have the first few manga taking for me in the Manga Backlog of Doom.

I have spent the last 3~ hours watching youtube vids.  Mostly Kagura/Okita ones, as calixa  has also been going on about the fandom's ships, and that one sounded insane.  This show (and what I read of the manga)  seems to be utterly devoid  of anything resembling romance, but fandom being fandom, there are ship vids everywhere.

Kagura has to be one of the most adorable things to ever happen to shounen.  And almost every vid of her is a ship vid with either her or Gintoki.  And even with romantic lyrics plastered over them, the Gintoki/Kagura vids scream paternal/fraternal and make me go "nnnoooooooooo...."  Whereas the Kagura/Okita ones scream "pure crack!" and make me giggle uncontrollably.

And given most vids, I am deeply amused by the angst vids I've seen.  And am I right in thinking I spotted nods to Sano (Rurouni Kenshin) Yuya(SDK) and Ban(Get Backers)?

SOMEBODY SAVE ME FROM THIS ADDICTION!

Magic Knight Rayearth Vol 2

Hey, why is it Magic Knight instead of Magic Knights, since there are three?

I really like the cover of this volume, despite how absurd Umi's "armor" is.  I think it's the colors.

( spoilers are absurdly cute, though not as cute as CCS )

So, was this series the beginning of Clamp's cosplay/costume fetish, or did it begin somewhere else?
