Yenni Suh is 15 and obsessed with getting rich. She runs a very successful loan shark business at school, and sells secondhand items as new. Her righthand woman is Yun-Hee Suh, who seems rather devoted to Yenni’s greed. She’s so obsessed with money that her grandmother is determined to teach her a lesson and rewrites her will to scare her into good behavior. Unfortunately, she falls down the stairs and breaks her neck the next morning, making the will that was supposed to be temporary permanent.

According to the terms of the will, Yenni must marry straightlaced Jae-Hee Shin, her grandmother’s former neighbor, and Yenni’s class president, before she turns twenty, or her inheritance will instead go to In-Young Park, her attorney’s grandson. Immediately after this, naturally, In-Young returns from America. Yenni is determined to marry Jae-Hee so she can get her inheritance. In-Young is determined to make sure that doesn’t happen so he can get the inheritance. Jae-Hee seems to harbor a crush on Yenni, but is determined not to get married just for money.

Between the three of them and a sickly neighbor who appears to have a crush on Jae-Hee, a fairly normal kdrama love square seems to be set up. I like that Yenni is so greedy and ruthless in her schemes to get money and get rid of In-Young, and I like In-Young and Jae-Hee just fine, but neither strikes me as a particularly good match for Yenni yet.

Cute, with the potential to be either really fun, or really annoying. Or both. It’s also, I think, only five volumes total.

June, Lucia and Sejuro attend Rohini Royal Academy, where June and lucia-along with other girls- compete to see who will be named the new Queen of Light. June is energetic and popular and more than a bit lazy, while Lucia is more reserved and regal, and doesn’t seem to know how to talk to people well. Sejuro is quiet and follows June’s lead, and was found by her in the snow when they were children. He’s devoed to June, who treats him like a cross between a kid brother and a pet, and doesn’t seem to realize that lucia has a crush on him. The manhwa wins points with me for setting up an obvious love triangle, but not seeming to even think about portraying June or Lucia as anything but likable and sympathetic, despite how easy it would be to vilify one.

There’s also a boy who joins June on one of her quests to prove herself the best candidate the queen who ends up being a judge. He objects to June as a potential queen because he knows she won’t leave Sejuro behind, and Sejuro apparently has demon blood, which no doubt foreshadows a number of plot developments.

This is by Yeon-Joo Kim, the manhwaga of Nabi: The Prototype and has the same kind of lovely imagery and vague but interesting worldbuilding. It also starts with the plotline well underway, and doesn’t give the reader a lot of time to catch up. Pretty and fun, but also confusing. Though I admit I’d rather read more of Nabi.
