Oct. 2nd, 2009 09:46 pm1. I just learned* that fandom's mushed ship name for Blair/Chuck in Gossip Girl is Chair. Really, fandom? Really? This is why we just avoid mushed ship names altogether! Though, if the alternative is "Bluck"...
2. I am currently reading Jane Austen's Emma, and just finished (while also reading Emma...anything more than 50 years old I have to read in small bits or I start subconsciously mimicking the language) Gail Tsukiyama's Night of Many Dreams. Both have main characters named Emma.
2a. This is largely peritinent because I'm currently watching the 2005 Bleak House and Thomas and Sarah. Pauline Collins is the start of Thomas and Sarah, and plays a supporting character in Bleak House. Every time she shows up in Bleak House, I think "Sarah will totally become a possibly-crazy bird lady after Thomas dies."**
3. Am fighting off a cold. It needs to go away before it becomes fullblown. Am off to have soup and popcorn chicken to blast my nasal passages clear. (No. Really. I don't do well with spicy*** food, but few things work better on my stuffed nose than popcorn chicken.)
ETA: 4. Also, I randomly decided to reorganize my backlog this week. There was a "post pictures of your backlog" meme that I recently missed out on, so I may do that one late!
*I've probably stumbled across that bit of info before, but managed to block it.
**Sarah will totally outlive Thomas. And she'll probably also be a fortunate teller who takes is stray kids.
***As in pepper-hot, as I know "spicy" doesn't mean that for everyone.
