in which i am potentially complicit in eternal scarring

Last night, I inadvertently recced Angel Sanctuary to people. This came about in the context of "Do you judge people for shipping incest?" to which my only reply can be "I cannot! I read Kaori Yuki manga!" And then having to explain just what that means to people who don't read manga.

For whatever reason, words to the effect of [potentially series breaking spoilers!] "The characters in the main pairing are a brother and sister who are the reincarnations of female angels, and the brother was God's favorite daughter and the true love of Lucifer, who started the war in heaven to free her from imprisonment in Eden." make people want to read. (I did have to explain that no, no one read that wrong.)

Anyway, these people who hopefully won't be scared off manga for life would now like fic recs. Anyone know of any AS fic that's relatively accessible to people who haven't read the series?

(Please do not further spoil the series too much.)

ETA:  Please comment at LJ since neither uses DW, as far as I know.
