Oh this show. Every time I’m about to get really critical about it, it does something like have Maggie Q in a black catsuit and ponytail, firing 2 machine guns at once. It really isn't exactly a solid show (by any means) and has plotholes all over the place, but it also has the ability to make me forget that when needed.
That said: Tiffany Hines, you are a fine actress, but this show is clearly incapable of doing anything non-faily with you for more than one episode. Please find a job that gives you a major role where you get to shoot things and don’t constantly get portrayed as the oft-thwarted mean black girl harassing the perfect little white heroine. Because you deserve so much better than that.
(Also, seriously, has anyone else noticed that Alex’s makeup made her almost absurdly pale for a few episodes there? And they pretty much aren’t even pretending that she isn’t the main character anymore. Not that I’m not fond of her, it just feels like they cast Maggie Q to say they had an Asian lead, then still made most of the plot and action center around the white people anyway.)
The implied direction for next season…could be interesting, but also drifts away from what’s one of the big draws for most of the viewers I know. I also feel they had to do some backtracking with Alex and what she knew to have the conflict they wanted in the last 2 episodes.
Bring on the spoilers in comments.
