Meanwhile, I have not yet watched this weeks The Vampire Diaries or Secret Circle. Even though I intend to watch this season with a chunk of fast forwarding, I really need to have the promise of Nikita to follow it up with so I can fantasize about Nikita killing Damon a lot.

Secret Circle...I want to be completely lucid and not worry about passing out halfway through the episode? Also, people are asking about girls fighting over boys. In the books, it pretty much goes like this:

CASSIE: OMG I like Adam sooooooo much but Diana is so awesome and I almost worship her and I couldn't handle it if anything ever came between us and affected our friendship!

ADAM: OMG I like Cassie sooooooo much but Diana is so awesome and I almost worship her amd value her friendship and don't want to damage her friendship with Cassie!

DIANA: Look, I'm pretty sure there's something going on there, guys, so if you'd just tell me so that I can bow out gracefully, I'd really appreciate it.

CASSIE: AAAAAAGONY!

ADAM: AAAAAAAGONY!

FAYE: Wow, you two make it so very very easy. Also, did you miss the memo where I'm the only one ever allowed to mess with Diana? PAR-TAY!

Mind you, I think the only straightup female rivalry over a guy L.J. Smith ever wrote (though I can't speak for the newer Vampire Diaries books as everything I've heard about them makes them sound awful, and I like the originals.) was Elena and Caroline over Stefan, and that was more like Stefan being the newest toy they both wanted. He might as well have been that last pair of the latest designer pants on the rack.

Of course, Kevin Williamson has his grubby hands on it now, so...

I'm still so sick I just want to trade my stomach in for a new one, but am I imagining things, or did Elizabeth McGovern and Michelle Dockery wear dresses the same color but in different fabrics to the Emmys. Did Joanne Froggatt wear a dress that color too?
