For better or worse, I apparently didn't have the second of Alyson Noel's Immortals series.

In the second book, Sexy New Boy apparently manipulated Ever into accidentally creating a potion that made her DNA and only her DNA lethal to Damen, and only Damen.  If they accidentally touch or any of her body fluids (sweat, saliva, etc) touches him, he shall die!

I totally don't remember any post-apocalyptic scifi show from around 10 years ago springing that on us in the second season.

I wonder what the next emo teen thing will become a plotpoint next. 

Also, Ever gets points for possibly being the only girl ever to go "Wait, my boyfriend was a hedonistic, narcissistic, playboy for 600 years.  DOES IMMORTALITY NEGATE WHERE HE'S BEEN???"

Of course, the POISONOUS DNA is clearly an attempt to help keep Ever a virgin forever.

(Really, they're amusing enough?  I just can't get over how she doesn't even file the serial numbers off.  By which I mean "I think I should start a list.")
