meganbmoore: (2 of a kind)
1.  BBC has cancelled The Hour. BAH.  If it'd been after the first series, I wouldn't have minded.  I enjoyed it and was glad to learn there would be a second series. But while it left things open for a second series, it also stood on it's own pretty well and would have felt complete if there hadn't been more.  OTOH, series 2 wrapped most things up, but left one thing on a major cliffhanger, and I also enjoyed it a lot more than the first series.

2. OTOH, there's also an upcoming BBC series loosely based on Greek Mythology called Atlantis.  I'm sure it'll bear about as much resemblance to Greek Mythology as the 90s Hercules and Xena shows, but hey, I'm pretty fond of those.  So I'm interested, except the main character will be Jason, and I'm not overly fond of him.  Like, at all.

3.  Arrow has been renewed,  which does make me happy, but of the 4 new US shows I picked up in the fall season, it's probably the one I'm least invested in.  (I pretty much wath for Laurel, Moira and Diggle, with a side of Thea and Walter, and because I'm holding out hope for a few certain DCU characters to pop up.)  Elementary is probably safe, though I don't think there's been an official announcement, but I'm worried the incredibly long hiatus might kill Revolution, despite the first half of the season doing well, and i don't know what Beauty and the Beast's ratings are like.

4.  Has anyone been watching Deception?  I haven't watched any of it yet, but it look interesting.  Main character is a WOC cop who reingratiates herself with her dead best friend's family to investigate her dead.  Bree Williamson is playing the Lily Kane/Laura Palmer role, too, and I became very fond of her in Haven's latest season.  (And vaguely recall also liking her in One Life to Live a decade or so ago.)

5.  For non-TeeVee's, I have an inexplicable urge to reread Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.  (Why?  Because I apparently like blatant emotional manipulation, emo gothic shoujo crack, and hopelessly convoluted storylines and plot developments.  And probably because I finally got around to watching the bits of the anime I hadn't seen yet.  Which is enjoyable in an of itself, but is lacking much of the ZOMG of the manga.  Despite a plotline that I think may have boiled down to "part of Sakura's soul became a dude to set itself up as a romantic rival for Syaoran."  I think,  I did get a bit lost.)  I have way too much waiting to be read to reread 28 volumes of Clamp (that will probably make me want to reinvestigate other Clamp works, since the secret goal of the series is to make you want to read all the Clamps ever.) but uou'l know I summumbed if you suddenly see me going "Ccccllllooooooonnnnnneeeessss!" somewhere.  ("Vampire twins!" "Don't eat that!" "Did you just cut that off?" CLAMP YOU DID NOT!" and "Maintain the universal ratio!" are also good indicators.)
