 Overnight, my father went from "we might keep him up to 2-3 more days and then he might need someone with him at all times for several days" to "he can go home with no restrictions."

Which, YAY, but also GEEZ.  (I gather he finally quit stressing enough for everything they were doing to him to finally kick in.)
