Since I tend to get various requests for such a thing from time to time(once every couple weeks for about a year, a little more recently lately)

So, a list of the animes I have.  A lot have tags, but regardless of whether or not they have tags, if you want me to post about them, tell me.  It may just be a few lines in a reply or it may be a whole post(or both), but I'll get back to you.  I don't plan for the post to go anywhere, either, so the same applies 5 months down the road or whenever.

If I don't own or haven't seen the entire thing, I'll indicate it beside the listing.  If you think I've seen one but it's not listed, ask.  Going by memory for the stuff I don't own.

* indicates a favorite(but mind you, if I didn't like it, it wouldn't be there, even if I own it as a regionless...those can still be pawned off)  There are some that MIGHT have * beside them later on, but that I've seen too recently to know if the love will last, or will fade to a degree of like.

NOTE: shall be updated as more anime is watched and/or acquired

ETA:  Recs are more than welcome, esp if it's along the lines of "huh?  you like blah blah but you haven't seen blah blah blah?  You need to watch blah blah blah because..."

Dunno if it'd be your type of anime serial, but I am watching Ouran High School Host Club at the moment and it's crack :D

A Studio Ghibli produced anime which I really enjoyed (but isn't on your list) is Whisper of the Heart ^^

Ah. Yeah, The Cat Returns is also wonderful. I also liked Only Yesterday which is more subtle but still quite enjoyable :)

Your list scares me. LMAO :p

When you get Season 1 Volume 7 of Kyo Kara Maoh please make a post about it cuz I still haven't seen it. (I need to get caught up on season 2 too.)

You must watch Azumanga Daioh (think I spelled that right)! And Paradise Kiss!

And why doesn't Trigun have an star next to it?! That show is made of awesome.

all of season 1 of Kyo Kara Maoh is what I have coming.

I like Trigun quite a bit, but only love it when the priest is involved(and then that wasn't quite as much love when his cross went from a repository for dozens of guns to a giant gun...just wasn't as cool). And, like Cowboy Bebop, I think I saw too many animes before I saw Trigun to appreciate it as much as others do.

I've got a major soft spot for "Trigun" because it was the anime that got me actually watching the genre in the first place (thinks back... that was less than three years ago... I've really gone overboard in the intervening time). Even though there are others I like better (particularly "Wolf's Rain", and possibly also "Rurouni Kenshin", which may have every flaw possible in anime but has great story and characters to make up for it). It also helps that Trigun (the anime) is much better than Trigun (the comic).

And I see Wolfwood (and other anime attempts to use themes from Christian mythology) as (possibly unintentional) payback for all the times Westerners have skewed and butchered Japanese themes in cultural works... right back to the days of Puccini or Gilbert...

I think what you said is the main reason for the popularity of Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and a few others. Not that they're not good on their own, but mostly they're both good, lighter(as far as mytharc involvement and such go) entry series.

I don't think I've encountered christian themes in an anime or manga that turned me off...they generally come off as well intentioned or misguided. As far as Wolfwood goes...the giant cross as the shield/gun repository was cool. The giant cross as a giant gun was considerably less cool and just made him another anime guy with a giant weapon. It made me sad.

I read the first volume of the manga a long time ago...less than impressed.
