Well I used to love Forever Knight but I honestly only vaguely remember it and as my forays into the past have turned out bad (with the exception of Remington Steele which held up perfectly!) I wouldn't just take my word. Then again at $20 a piece it's a bargain so you may want to give it a try. If I had a Wal-Mart near me I'd definitely be tempted.
I remember loving the angst (there was loads of it!) and I totally shipped Nick and Natalie but for the life of me I can't remember seeing the end. It used to air here at the oddest times so I missed a lot of the later stuff. There was also a great baddie, LaCroix, who was always trying to bring Nick back to the dark side. Damn... kinda wanna see this now.
BTW, don't know if you have a Costco near you but they had the Smallville sets for $16.99 when I went last week.
