While dealing with the stress of moving and the ongoing apartment problems (the bathtub issue is fixed-my downstairs neighbor, who management told me multiple times wasn’t having any problems from my broken bathtub, came out when I got home Thursday to ask if they’d ever fixed my tub, because she’d been complaining about the leak and mold for months, just for an idea of how things at this place are probably even worse than I realized-but there’ve been a couple things since but hopefully those will stop now that I’ve given my notice and they know they’ll get to remodel and charge the next poor resident a lot more) I’ve been spending a lot of time looking into potential future hobbies that I’ve been curious about for quite a while, but that simply weren’t feasible in a second story one bedroom apartment.. In particular, homemade melt & pour soap, and homemade soy candles (container only, not taper or pillar).

From what I can find, Bramble

Berry is the best resource for supplies for both, at least in the US, probably with Candlescience as secondbest. They might just be the ones best at being affiliates for the various blogs and tutorials I’ve been reading, though the soapmakers forum I’ve been checking out seems to also hold to that.

Anyone else ever play around with (or been more serious about) either? Or ever looked into it and decided against it? I’m trying to be as thorough as I can researching and learning before putting money down for either.
