Hello Livejournal and Dreamwidth! I promise I haven't neglected you (and any social media except facebook and twitter) for months on purpose, it's just been a bit crazy. I wish I could say it won't happen again.
We haven't been hit too hard be covid-19 here proportionally, though more because we're fairly isolated than because people are being careful. I mean they aren't NOT being careful, but this is deep in Trump/FoxNews land here. Our shop was only shut down for about 2 weeks, but most of the weeks we have been open, we've barely made anything. (Problem is that we aren't essential, but do provide services for essential businesses, and we provide the awards for most of the local schools.)
Toby got fixed and looked very sad and small and pitiful in her cone for a week and a half. Then shortly after being freed of the cone, she got feline acne and now twice a day we have a VERY fun exchange about her letting me use medicated wipes on her chin.
I've been terrible about reading in recent months and halve probably watched way too much TV. Lots and lots of kdramas and british mysteries and a few Netflix things, but unless it's Brooklyn 99, She-Ra, or The Clone Wars, I'm behind for US TV. Not even sure what anime is airing right now. (I should get back to the monthly media log thing, at least.)
I've started selling my soaps and related stuff on facebook under Bluebonnet Soapery and have a booth at a local gift shop/relaxation center. I haven't sold much yet, but I didn't really expect to the first few months.
I wasn't going to be able to make it to WisCon this year for some work related reasons that still apply even with the pandemic, so in that regard WisCon online is good for me, though I suspect that 20 or so chatrooms going on at the same time once it reaches a certain point will result in me mostly reading and not participating much. We'll see though.
So that pretty much everything aside from the impending sense of doom over the US in general, both politics-wise and pandemic-wise, how's everyone else doing?
