Amazons Attack #3:  Pretty much typing this up as I read so I can get through it.  I mean, the  cheap old newsreel propaganda driven (accurate or not) "special report" was enough to raise my hackles with it's idea of reporting.  Then we have Ma Kent calling Superman "Clark" in public and kissing him on the cheek.  The sad thing is that Pfieffer is usually a good writer...either he hates the current gig, had an amazing editor before or has one who hates him now, but something certainly went missing in the "competent writer" status between Catwoman and Amazons Attack.  Then we go back to the complete and utter butchering of Hippolyta's character.  And I'm not even a Hippolyta fan. WTF!?!??!?! WTF?!?!?!?!  "Beloved leader?" Since whn the *bleep bleep bleep*  does Artemis talk about Hippolyta like that? *many pages of twitching later*  I'm honestly not sure why I'm torturing myself like this.  I realized, though, that a large part of what makes this suck so much is that it relies on the reader getting caught up in a patriotic frenzy-everything in the book is designed to inspire that.  Except it's such heavy haned poorly written sexist garbage that it doesn't work (yes, my opinion drops more and more each issue)

And trying to get past the bad stuff first so I can move on to happier things like Captain America and Birds of Prey...

Wonder Woman #10:  Sigh...this book is so horribly written that it's hard to even complain about the wretched characterization(if possible, Diana is actually worse off than Hippolyta there these days) The dialogue is, to be kind, painful and all the "clever" and "funny" bits just make Diana look like an obnoxious brat.  Honestly, based on her WW I can't see how anyone without years of character investment (not to mention storage space) would willingly read more than one thing by her.  Hmm...if we have another Crisis, maybe it'll start being good again...

Teen Titans #48:  I now declare this entire Amazons Attack thing to be a black hole of suckage on a par on the black hole of suckage all Marvel "events"(except for Annihilation) have been since Disassembled.  Upside?  Sonsiderably less investment in Teen Titans than in Wonder Woman.

I think AA is doing for me with DC what Disassembled started for me with Marvel.  Except here, I'm invested in a central player.

Bigger upside?  I can now move on to nice comics.

Birds of Prey #107:   Ah, bliss.  Granted, in comparison to the last three, I'd like anything half decent, but BoP is usually pretty good anyway.  The fact that Misfit only opened her mouth a couple times and only briefly helped a lot.  I love having Ice back and I love that it was asking her whatGuy would think that calmed her down.  Usually with those two, it's the reverse happening.  I have few OTPs in comics (who a character is paired with tends to change almost as frequently as writers do) and they're one of them...so rare that the super-sweet girl is actually paired with the rude, crass jerk in canon.  I'm also tempted to say I love Zenda on principle after this, even though I'm not as big a fan of her since she got a bigger role.  Sad to seethe Secret  Six slink off back into quasi-limbo, though.

Wolverine: Origins #15:  So...now James Hudson is getting villainized?  Sigh.  Virtually no Daken, so virtually no interest (like with Captain America , the bulk of my interest is in the "lost son" character, except CA is still good when Winter Soldier isn't around)  On the upside, though, it looks like Winter Soldier will be in the book pretty soon.

Captain America #27:  It's looking more and more like Winter Soldier is going to be the new Cap, which I really hope doesn't come to pass, even though he's my main interest in the series.  Still, interesting stuff.  Wish he could succeed in the "kill Tony Stark" part of his plans, though.  Sharon  somehow worked better here than she has in other issues, but still isn't interesting enough to warrant all the focus she gets.  And her outfit here reminds me of a conservative version of Dagger's costume.  Interesting to see that Winter Soldier and Black Widow have a past, though I rather hope they don't go rekindling old flames (though I suspect it'd be more interesting than Cap/Sharon.)
