The DH books are great fun...not necessarily good, but fun.
The issues between Zarek and Valerius were barely touched on in either of their books and were mostly swept under the rug in Valerius's book. Seize the Night was all about Kyrian and Julian when it came to issues, and it made me really, really hate both. Not even because of Valerius, just because it's overdone and petty and, frankly, rabid.
The Nick/Simi think happened in Valerius's book, which is also the first time it was indicated Nick and Ash were more than nodding acquaintances. Giant Plot Device of Doom, there.
I'm going with Ash being a god, though they've said that Apollymi is Ash's mother and that she's his sister...Kenyon needs to get it straight...Wren's book is next, I think, after I finish the Bifrost Guardians books.
