They are still together and have a daughter too. He's always known as a playboy and he was living with another actress when they first got together. Lots of people told Nanako not to date him too but they still end up together. Makes me sad because I really like Nanako.
Japanese people don't really put up with stuff like cheating. I remember reading that just because of the author of Death note got pulled over and the police realize that he had a pocket knife attach to his key chain (he just went camping). They arrested him and going to charge him. I think Japan is one of the country you don't have to do anything bad in! lol
