That was kinda awesome.  And Meta-y?  Awesome-ly meta-y with lots of brain breakage on Jack's part, maybe?

So, once upon a time, there was a rascally boy named John.  And John traded his cow for three magic beans that became a beanstalk.  And John climbed the beanstalk and had all the normal adventures and became known as John the Giant Killer.  Except one day, a giant killed John, and being a wicked young man, John was sent to Hell.  Except that all the  stories in the world are created by higher powers, and one day soon after John died, one of the higher powers remembered that he liked John...but couldn't remember if it was John or Jack.  And deciding it didn't really matter, he used Jack.  And since John was gone, the typo became a living, breathing person, and soon everyone forgot that it used to be John, and Jack became one of the most famed fables ever.

But John didn't care much for Hell, and eventually charmed his way out.  But because the world now thought that it had always been Jack, John thought that he was the copy, and Jack the original.  And even though it had always been John and John still had adventures...John remained ungeard of, and Jack got all the credit.

Meanwhile, somewhere along the way, a higher power named Revise stripped the other powers of their memories and changed all the original stories, diluting their power.  But one of the powers was a man named Kevin Thorne, who lived in New York City near a place where many of the fables of legend did.  And seeing them, a part of him started to remember.  And he started writing stories.  All the stories the way they originally were.

And then Revise found out.

And then Things Started Happening.

Meanwhile, Jack still has Excalibur stuck in his chest(are there two now?) until he realizes...sure, it sucks to be a living typo, but if he's the copy and John's the real legend, then should John have the sword?  And BAM! there it goes.  Which just proves that, Jack or John, he'll always get screwed over.

(meanwhile Paul Bunyan's miniature ox is awesome)
