Yes, Alex is the dark haired captain with the horribly tragic backstory, horribly tragic middle story and horribly tragic ending. He's got so much angst I'm not sure it can be contained in one character.

For the record, Ray and Van from Gun x Sword also have angst, only it's ANGRY angst (especially Ray). I do want Ray's babies though.
