I feel I am developing an unreasonable love for this title, and I'm not 100% why.
Incoherent babble here:
So, who was the "monster" Yahmi sensed? Horakaan or Yaki? Somehow, I don't think it's Mr. Vengeful One-Eyed Young Warrior.
Aragorn is awesome. Very awesome. Elsewhere today, we have been discussing alpha males, and in it the subject of the alpha male as the aggressive love interest vs alpha male as the warrior and leader came up. Aragorn? Is the alpha male as the warrior and leader, done very well. You can't tell if he's going to pat someone on the head, rip their head off(literally) or send out an army from one second to the next, but you know that, whatever it is, it'll be done right.
I have to frown a bit, though, at Horakaan apparently leaving without finding out of Yaki and Batu were ok.
Batu's sister, Genji? Amazingly awesome. Sadly, it doesn't look like she'll be hanging around.
Yaki fretting over and teasing the extremely beat up Batu was...amazingly cute.
Meanwhile, we are clearly meant to be very curious about the Manutu's "Young Master," who I gather is Aragorn's son, brother, or nephew. I'm also betting he has something to do with Mr. "Look at me, I have a long, pretty braid and jump off high rock" in the "next volume" preview.
