And yup, it is. I discovered McKillip earlier this year and have been working my way through her backlog, though mostly her stuff from the last 10 years or so. Ombria in Shadow is one of my three favorites so far, if not my favorite. The other 2 are In the Forests of Serre and Od Magic.
