Yes, Charmed Life. As I was typing this, I was entering my 65th hour of the workweek.
I pretty much assumed that the negative parental and authority figures were at least partly from personal experiences, but even when I was the age of the characters in the books, I wasn't happy with how much of fiction for children painted parents-especially mothers-in a bad light.
