Bah, a lot of characters are short-changed in the anime. Namely, I'd say Satsuki, Yuuto, Karen, and Aoki. Kusangi is just ignored fairly well in both, though he finally shines a little later on. ^^;
Or perhaps I'm biased. I adore both Karen and Aoki.
