Of Swords and Parasols

vampire elves don't really jostle me much since you can apply the vampire template to just about any creature in D&D except other undead, abberations, and of course, revanents. I think in one campaign setting, there's actually a race of elves dedicated to the necromatic arts whose chief leaders often either become vampires or some other form of immortal undead, like liches.

But yes, in fiction, that is kind of whacky 8)
