Well, we don't SEE that part, but it's an important factor that's referred to quite a bit. (The main action is "badass daughter off to war and badass mother off to deal with people who messed with the badass daughter.")
And, you know, I would have checked it out anyway because I like Sherwood Smith, BUT THAT WAS THE EXCITEMENT SELLING POINT.
