Overheard at the booksale, from a kid sitting on a box of books:  "Mommy, are we going to the library tomorrow?" (And he didn't say it in a "please no" way" but in a "we always do so we still are, right?" way.)

Pretty much all the librarians in my library knew me by face, if not by name, when I was little. As I got older they got machines that let you check out yourself, which cut down on interactions, but I still give a little wave sometimes.
