Alas! Much of my beloved insanity and crack is taking a back seat to the romantic angst!

Haine loves Shizumasa! And Takanari! At the same time! And, really, I can’t blame her, as they both did the things that made her fall in love, and she thought they were the same person.

But, you know, I’m not sure Shizumasa has any redeeming qualities outside of a few bits with Haine? Whereas Takanari seems to be pretty decent when not pretending to be Shizumasa. Except that he’s developing some pushy alpha male tendencies? Not to the point where I want to throttle him, yet, though he has earned some mental thwaps upside the head.

ALSO! Is one or both halves of a pairing falling off a cliff (with the other rushing down if they didn’t fall) a fairly common shoujo trope? It seems I’ve seen it a few times before.

And Maguri and Maora are already together! I kind of figured Tanemura would hold off on that until later. *squishes* Though I kind of wonder if Maora being the postman was supposed to be a surprise? I’ve kind of always figured it.

But I am surprised that Tanemura actually had Ushio admit to being in love with Haine! Poor Takanari. Not that there was really any doubt that Haine would choose Ushio over…anyone. And Ryokka was in love with Haine’s biological mother? I wonder if she knew who’s daughter Haine was when she married Haine’s adopted father.
