meganbmooreYes, i know that there's another chapter or two ofthis out now, but tis is what was at Onemanga when i caught up a week or so ago.
WTF Clamp? I leave you alone for a few months because updates were erratic, and THIS is what you’ve been up to? I can’t trust you with anything.
“You damned clones!” Somebody said that! Twice! Quick! Somebody create Tsubasa/Scoobie Doo crossover fic/icons!
Meanwhile, real!Syaoran’s origin is fully revealed! He is his own Grandpa! His true love is his grandma! He briefly thought he was in love with his mother!
By which I mean, the clones are his parents.
Mind you, I don’t quite subscribe to cloned/clone=parent/child, but I feel it’s a very pertinent comparison, under the circumstances. Though “briefly thought he was in love with his mother” is as literal as it gets. At least he thought she was real!Sakura at the time. Who his mother is a clone of.
You would THINK the fact that Yuuko let the clones be reincarnated would reduce the biological ick, and yet, it doesn't. Probably because they appear to be biologically identical. And here reincarnation typically makes my squicks evaporate.
Thankfully, I can go into “ZOMG! CLONES!” mode enough to almost completely ignore all that as I was reading. (Somehow, none of the biological ick seems to apply with them. )
Ok Clamp, look, when I theorize things like all the above? I don’t really mean it. For future reference.
Yuuko finished dying after revealing that everything was apparently caused by Clow Reed somehow accidentally wishing her back from the dead, and Fei Wong Reed trying to make it happen. I’ve pretty much decided FWR is an alternate Clow. He isn’t pretty like Clow because he’s made up of Clow’s bad wishes and wants or something.
The MKR girls briefly show up and are awesome. They can go to Infinity when they’re a bit older. Mokona agrees with me on “YAY! CLONES!” and trying to ignore the rest. Kuroghane wants to hit people again for being self sacrificing idiots. If he were in charge, things would go better. CCS!Sakura may have briefly shown up, but I’m not sure if it was actually her, or reincarnated!clone!Sakura. I lost track of how many Syaorans and Sakuras there were in some scenes, and am impressed that real!Sakura woke up and somehow knew exactly what was going on.
Best part? FWR’s hissy fit at the Sakura’s using the power he gave them and planned to use himself against them.
