Gameboy batteries are running low, so Zelda may be briefly on hold.
This "monthly shipments" thing, as opposed to biweekly, is proving to be a touch difficult...I'm getting all twitchy over certain books having already been out for weeks. Ah well, I should have January's books sometime this week.
Watched This Week:
Dark Angel: Season 1(discs 3-6): Mmmm Zack...NNNNNNOOOOO!!!(I don't care if he did get better!) And Jensen Ackles...I forgive you for Ben, but only because of Alec. Anyway, you can tell they worked the kinks out during midseason(bye-bye Kendra) resulting in a much better show. I remembered enjoying the second half of season one better tyhan the first half, andthat still holds true.
Read this week:
Invincible Ultimate Collection Vol 1 HC: My first conscious thought while reading this was "no wonder Bendis likes Kirkman so much...it takes him just as long to get to the point." However, at least Kirkman HAS a point, and convinces me that he's getting there, despite wasting entire issues on things that should have only been a few pages. Still, the payoff for the first major arc was worth it, mostly, and the potential fallout and likable characters are worth checking out the next bit.
New Mutants: Back to School TPB
New X-Men: Academy X vol 1: Choosing Sides
New X-Men: Academy X Vol 2: Haunted
New X-Men: Hellions TPB: Not quite Runaways or Generation X, but it'll more than do. "New Mutants" was pretty much a Moonstar vehicle, but as she's a very deserving and underrated character, that's ok. The cast is pretty much all likeable(both the New Mutants and Hellions squads) and I think this is the first time Emma Frost has been bearable since the end of Generation X. Unfortunately, I already know that two of the most interesting characters have been limboed due to "House of Letting Our New Pet Undo Our Old Pets Stuff"

"We worked out all the kinks, now how can we screw it up?"
