This show? Is far too stingy when it comes to the resident lady telepaths. I’m just saying.
Also, without Talia, women don’t seem to interact much anymore. And Na’Toth is apparently gone for good, too.
To get my complaints out of the way: Eight episodes, and two have drug subplots? Sigh.
Marcus is cute and endearing, though in something of a “quit trying to think and just fight and crush on Ivanova” way. Actually, I’d probably be really enjoying the blatant upcoming Susan/Marcus thing if they weren’t pushing it so hard. But then, I’m also still mourning Talia, so that’s likely affecting it. Also, every time there’s a closeup of his face, I can’t help but think that he really needs to shave. But then I don’t think that in distance shots…
Also, Marcus’s discussions with Franklin have made me realize that Franklin is the smartest human on the station, though I think Ivanova is cleverer. Marcus and Garibaldi discussing Marcus’s secret meeting and maneuverings loudly while walking through the mess hall helped with that decision, though people seem to be slipping in general as far as not discussing Sooper Sekrit Things in public.
I applaud the show for actually having religious plotlines that don’t make me want to murder the writers. Funny how portraying people of faith as being intelligent and capable of reason instead of mindless sheep and/or evil abusers/controllers makes those plotlines bearable. I miss the monks. I’m not sure about G’Kar’s messiah-like thing yet, though.
Londo and Vir somehow manage to have the most touching relationship in the show, though. (Delenn and Lennier come close.) Londo sending Vir away to Minbar was like kicking a puppy out because you want to pet it.
I’m getting a bit tired of Zach’s (Zack?) plotline, but I think that’s because I suspect it will only lead to bad things for him. In general enjoying all the plotting and politicking and secret rebellions, though.
Delenn, Ivanova, and Franklin remain awesome. Sheridan and Garibaldi aren’t quite as awesome or clever as they think they are, but that’s part of their charm. Vir and Lennier are still puppies. Londo and G’Kar are both worrying me in different ways. Talia and Na’Toth are missed.
I'm actually watching episode 10 of the season now (and I'm kinda woeful that I've been spoiled for it for a while) but just realized that I hadn't posted this yet, despite drafting it last week.
