What is Bradley anyway? The Energizer Bunny?

I’m certain that, had I mot fallen behind, I would have been quite distressed at Hawkeye getting her throat slit. As it is, I’m hoping that Mustang’s reaction will make all the people who whine about her reaction when she thought he was dead shut up. He didn’t exactly take that any better.

Also, Mei-chan was totally shipping when Mustang said he knew Hawkeye’s eye signals meant “If you do human transmutation, I’ll beat you to death.” Mei-chan really annoyed me for the longest time, outside of her scenes with Scar, but she’s grown on me more recently, though I’m still not as fond of her as I am of others.

I’m happy Al’s reaction to his body is the same as mine! Like, I’ve been very worried that he’d get it back and it’d be…useful? I mean, even beyond the malnourishment, the muscles have to be extremely atrophied. (I think I’m supposed to be wailing in angst over his decision, instead of relieved, but I’ve been concerned about that for some time!)

Other points:

1. I suspect Mustang’s hands will get better, but I’m not sure about his eyes. Though, if Al can apparently get his body back, maybe that will work too?
2. I sincerely hope the “I don’t like to hit girls” comment came from Greed, not Ling. Actually, it seems a much more “Greed” thing to say. Ling is more likely to fight one and then say he judges by Lan-Fan when someone gets shocked. I hope.
3. Buccaneer is dead. I shall go join Olivia in being sad.
4. Energizer. Bunny.

Now I'm kind of glad that, while a fan, I'm not really in this fandom. O.0

His hands can totally heal! The eyes are another question, though I have my doubts about anything the Truth says.

There are plenty parts of the fandom that are perfectly sane and sensible. There are other parts that believe that anytime Arakawa writes a woman like a human being (read: with emotions, reacting to things that happen, etc.) she's obviously writing them as weak and clingy, thus proving that the anime (which has no idea what to do with Winry, expands Tricia and Lust's roles purely for extra angst-fodder, and has the roles of women in the last third revolve around being a passive and voiceless representation of victimization in war or being an evil bodythief obsessed with getting a man back after centuries*) is far superior with women.

I suspect Ling would be honestly mystified at the idea that fighting women** is bad if it's a fight and that's your opponent.

*I like the anime and think it does much better than most shounen anime does when it comes to women, but really...

So true! Personally speaking I really, really can't stand violence against women in fiction, but I am all in favor of men and women getting and giving their lumps equally. It's a fine but important distinction.
