New trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood, which doesn't quite as strongly resemble "Gladiator in Sherwood Forest" but still has a lot of that feeling.
Looks a bit more promising, and I'm glad Marian gets to talk in this one, even if it isn't the most original line ever. (But fabulously delivered.) A couple comments:
1. Looks like this will definitely be a modern American take on monarchy.
2. Looks like it won't have the normal "King Richard comes home and everything's ok" ending of Robin Hood movies.
3. Based on Crowe and Blanchett's ages and bits I've heard, I'd been hoping the movie would be set later along in the RH legends, but it looks like they're adjusting the normal take and plot for the characters to be older.
4. Anyone else find it a bit odd that we're notably not seeing the sheriff, who John is presumably giving orders to?
