I just finished Conspiracy in the Court (which may be the only kdrama ever that would have actually benefitted from a few more episodes...it should have switched episode count with 8 Days: The Assassination of Jeongjo, because that one needed to trim down the Bearded Men At A Table Yammering About Politics Scenes a bit, given how repetitive they were at times, and this one had so much plot that it didn't have enough time to give you a reason to care about the characters a lot of the time...I should actually properly post on both) and must comment briefly on the ending.

Because this may be the first time where there was a combination of:

1.  Almost every named character died.
2.  My three favorite characters lived.  In fact,  (And two possibly got together?  Or at least, I gather he'll be making sure she and her baby are provided for.  In context of the times and the fact that she's a pregnant gisaeng, this most likely means he'll either officially take her into his household, or become her official patron.)  I was also exceptionally fond of the evil Head Lady and the bodyguard, but I figured they were dead as soon as they were an evil Head Lady and black-clad, long haired, sword wielding bodyguard.

Also, both CitC and 8D had Jung Ae Ri completely stealing the series as Jeongjo's moher, Princess Hyegyeong (she was never technically queen because her husband died while still a prince, but she became the dowager queen later because her son was king.)  It will be so strange when I finally watch Yi San, and someone else is playing her.  Though I think it's the actress who played Lady Choi in Dae Jang Geum, so I'm sure I'll adjust.
