meganbmooreToday, a coworker asked me to explain what the following were:
Lilith
Concubines
Succubi
Legion
That was interesting. (Apparently, a friend started talking about all of the above while talking about horror movies, and she had no clue what the other woman was talking about.)
I am also now current with Vampire Diaries. To mostly avoid spoilers:
1. Dear show: Basically, you are 2 shows in one. When you are The Damon Is Awesome Show, I hate you and mentally write up pages of rants about you and make vows like "One more *insert current annoyance* AND I AM NEVER WATCHING YOU AGAIN." When you are The Mystic Falls Show, I love you madly despite having various problems with you want want to symbolically marry you, especially when you keep having dramatic twists and reveals that should be saved for season finales, or at least midseason breaks, not happening in random episodes like 3 and 5.
2. Why am I not allowed to like more than 2 men at a time, and one of them is barely around? (Said 2 men being Stefan and Alaric. My feelings on the rest range from annoyance to outright hatred.) Last season, there was Harper. We all know how that went down. This season, I was mostly liking Mason and disliking Tyler far less, and then 5 ep came along.
3. While I have some problems with what you're doing with Caroline this season (especially a certain trend) in the future, if you absolutely insist on having privileged white men attack/threaten/harass nubile young women, please only do so when Caroline Forbes is around to address the situation, because that one bit of ep 5 was one of the most utterly fabulous scenes ever.
4. I will love you forever if, in the future, you limit Damon's interactions to Liz (the only person I think he even half respects), Bonnie, and Katherine (the only ones who almost treat him the way he deserves.) Alternatively, have him interact with Jeremy, Matt, Mason, Tyler and John, so that I can just ignore him and have far fewer annoyances in scenes with characters I like.
5. Please stop keeping Bonnie hidden in a box or whatever unless you need her to do something with her magic. Like, at this point, I almost think it's deliberate that you exclude her from almost all the history and major reveals and developments.
6. Last season, you denied me a storyline in which old friends have been divided and placed at odds. Do not do this to me again.
ETA: Have a Lost Girl vid, and be sure to read the Pretentious Vidder Notes so that you, too, can understand the fantabulousness of the bisexual succubus show.
