I have a near uncontrollable need to wrap things.  Like, giftwrapping.  I keep looking at things and wondering if there could be a justification for wrapping them.  It's kind of an...unfulfilled hyperfocus thing.

Meanwhile, my excedrin migraine needs to kick in, as I developed a low level migraine around 12 and kept working on the phones for 4 1/2 more hours.  Though...I'm pretty sure that "it needs to kick in so I can watch Nikita and Covert Affairs" may not be the proper type of priority.  But there are spy ladies with guns waiting for me.  Also, I'm not sure, but I think that, despite having fewer POC in the main cast, Covert Affairs may have less racefail than Nikita?  But I suspect I'm being influenced by the fact that the last Covert Affairs episode that I watched was the one with Oded Fehr, and it didn't have the Fail that I was worried it would have once I figured out what the ep would be.  But despite Nikita herself, Nikita seems to use every racial stereotype, whereas Covert Affairs, so far, at least seems aware that they exist and should maybe be avoided.  Not fair to judge when you've seen 10 episodes of one show roughly as they aired and 4 of the other over a few days, though.

Oh whew, I'm not alone re: gift-wrapping compulsion.

I bought a few books for myself at the beginning of the month, and thought, "I'm not going to have time to read these right away - wouldn't it be a special treat if I wrapped them and opened them at Christmas! Extra presents!" so I did.

When I found myself looking around my apartment for DVDs and books I hadn't watched or read yet and thinking "I could wrap that..." I decided enough was enough and signed up to help at the gift-wrapping station at Barnes & Noble to raise money for my rape crisis center. (And was FOILED by it being a slow shopping night and only being able to wrap three things.)
