Oh look, Neal and Sara almost had sex in a government building.  Kate will be back in 3...2...1...

No, seriously, do we think she'll actually be in the season finale, or just that Neal will learn she's alive in the last 10 seconds?

(Uhm...I am neutral regarding Sara/Neal, in that I like it in theory but think they're pushing it too hard for narrative reasons that may annoy me a lot and am totally fine with both being single and snipping at each other forever, but I...really really hate  it when The New Girlfriend ends up having to sit around waiting for The Dude to sort his stuff out after there's a major fallout with The Old Girlfriend 5 minutes after they hook up.)

Also, I seriously hope they don't just make Kate return and be a flatout bad guy. I mean, it'd be both anticlimactic and weird if she were to return and she and Neal just got back tohether, but "oh, she was evil all along" would just...be really bad writing, IMO.

MEANWHILE, when this show plays with the caper classics is when it's at its best, and this was very much one of those times.  Diana's reactions to Neal and Peter impersonating each other were basically mine.  (I think Diana secretly loves working with Neal.  So many amusing things happen!)  Uhm...this is probably even better when about 15% of your brain still thinks Neal is Bryce Larkin in Deep Deep Cover.  But Mozzie and June trained Peter to be a thief!  Neal got to be the (fake) boss!  Also, we actually had every female character who's still around in the episode, even if Alex was only there for 5 seconds. (Poor Lauren, it's like no one remembers she existed.  Uhm...I actually found Peter and Neal's exchange about being happy Diana was back in the season premere to be rather crass on the writer's part, given how the show treated Natalie Morales.)

Also, I can't help but notice that Elizabeth keeps getting cheek and forehead smoochies left and right since the midseason break.  Why do I think Tiffani Thiessen's costars just really missed her when she wasn't around due to her pregnancy.  (Also, wow did that dress she had on...uhm...emphasize that she just had a baby.
 

P.S.-Dear show, so far, you have done an excellent job of not killing characters off in the name of Drama.  I mean, aside from the fridging that everyone thinks is fake.  Please do not change this.
