Despite my intentions not to, I spent the day using my LJ tags to put a total of 800 books on goodreads, unless I was pretty sure I'd have a different opinion of it now, though I'm sure there were a lot that I did add that I'd think differently of now. Since I rarely finish/post on books I don't like unless I have nothing else available or get attacked by trainwreck syndrome, I look like an exceptionally generous reader.

BTW, is there a way to organize your books by genre?

Right now you have the bookshelves 'read', 'currently reading', and 'to read', which kind of work like tags. You can add new tags whenever you review a book. Just click 'choose shelves' and type in the name of a new one.
