Homeland through whatever: I ended up bingeing on this in a "this is too much for me I need a break CANNOTSTOPMUSTKNOWWHATISNEXT" way. And I'm not even sure I like it! For that matter, i'm not sure if I like any of the characters besides Jessica, though I'm kinda a wee bit obsessed with Carrie. But it's undeniably well written and acted and while I have problems with the plot, the twists and suspense work for me, even if I don't always like the twists. Also, I'm glad we've eased off with the really uncomfortable/awkward sex scenes and random nudity, and it always helps when major characters actually interact with each other.

Once Upon A Time 1.4: I have come to the conclusion that the writers have a secret goal of trying to get the viewers to ship all the women wih the intention of tricking viewers into accidentally shipping Mother/Daughter who are conveniently the same age thanks to a curse and the mother doesn't know she ever had a daughter. (I swear, Ruby looked positively giddy when she ran up with a towel after Emma spilled her coffee all over herself.)

Guys! A mother finally got to keep her baby! (Snow: Forced to send hers away to save Emma. Emma: Teenaged mother who gave hers up for adoption, apparently pressured into it by adults who "knew better." Queen: Not confirmed, but likely lost a child because of Snow White, either directly or indirectly-though certainly not deliberately, unless we''ve all completely misjudged Snow.)

I liked that Cinderella was all "Stuff nobility! I want money and to be pampered!" Though, I wonder if we're going to learn that Rumplestiltskin had something going on with many/all the heroines and their children? I mean, it's only 2 so far, but, well, aside from Red/Ruby, they're also the only ones we've seen so far, and we don't know much about Red pre-reality. (Though I wonder if this is going to be a Red Riding Hood/Big Bad Wolf thing and the Wolf is currently under Rumplestiltskin's control and was sent to keep Emma from leaving? I've joined team "sheriff is the huntsman," so my theory is now that Rumplestiltskin has several villains under his control, unknown to Regina.) I'm glad I don't have to hate Cinderlla's prince. I was worried I would for a bit, but I don't. I much prefer the fairy tale version, but the reality cversion was ok too. He was just a kid who needed to learn to think for himself and stand up for himself/his girlfriend/his kid. Cinderella better not fade into the background now.

Henry needs to listen to his Bio Mommy and go home. And stay there. And maybe tape his own mouth shut. (Though at least for once he didn't know EVERYTHING?) And let her be awesome without his poking her every 5 seconds. Also, he makes me feel bad for Regina? I mean, yes, she's evil, but I get the impression that she genuinely does love him (as much as she can love anyone, at least) and is trying? And I'm not sure if she's just bad at it as it is that he goes out of his way to try to make her feel like a bad mother. I mean, this episode is the first time there was really an indication that her mothering skills may not be all that, as opposed to that she's stressed because her kid goes out of his way to make sure she knows he doesn't like or appreciate her and he hunted down his biological mother and dragged her back to town to throw his "real" mother in her face, and now Emma won't go away? Not that leaving your 10-year-old at home alone to spend the day sexing up the sheriff is exactly a good thing to do or a sign of good parenting. (Also, I wish I was more surprised that it was the sheriff in her bed. Like, surprised at all. Given that the show seems to be setting up Emma/Sheriff, that could lead to very annoying things? Though, based on their previous interactions, I suspect that, for her at least, that relationship is more about sexytimes and power/control, and less about emotional involvement.)

Also, we had a POC for about 5 seconds. Then she got replaced by powerful white man. Le Sigh. (Actually, I think the newspaper guy is the Queen's magic mirror? Not sure.)

I wish I could decide what this show is trying to say about adoption? Like, so far, it hasn’t really said anything directly against adoption, but has instead focused on women not able to raise their kid for whatever reason, but I feel they’re leaving the barn door open for “Adoption is EVIL. And adopted parents aren’t REAL parents. And adoption is only selling children!”

Ringer 1.9: Malcolm! You did not save Gemma! We are very disappointed! Not that it was your fault. Also, the show can stop trying to make me like Henry any day now.

I wonder if Bridget is starting to realize Siobahn may not be dead, or if she's assuming Siobahn's affair with the Paris dude was in the past? I'm surprised she and Malcolm are figuring this much out this quickly. (But, OMG, are we traded the awful Malcolm torture scenes for tied up Gemma scenes? SIGH.) Also, I wonder why Siobahn wants Gemma alive? Is she planning to frame Gemma for her/Bridget's death? Actually, I think they may have said something along those lines, but my attention got sidetracked.

Also, wow, as much as I like Jaime Murray in Warehouse 13, she kind of grates on me here? I don't know why. Normally, I'd find Olivia a blast.

Covert Affairs 2.13: ODED FEHR HAS RETURNED. And finally made out with Piper Perabo. Those two have more chemistry than she does with all the other men they've thrown at her combined. Which does not reflect on Piper Perabo or the other guys at all, it's just that the average mortal man cannot compare. Gosh, was there a lot of hotness in this episode.

Uhm...and Joan called Jai on his bull and Jai lied for Annie. I think other things happened, but there was a lot of Oded Fehr going around.

Revenge 1.8: Ok, who else thought the Emandas were aboutt o make out until Emanda 2.0 said Emanda was the closest thing she ever had to a sister. Because, seriously. I wish I could figure out if Emanda actually loves Emanda 2.0 or has only been using her their entire relationship. I prefer to think she does (she needs someone that she honestly loves), but knows Emanda 2.0 will cause her trouble if she hangs around.

Now that she is hanging around, I vote that Tyler's is the next head that she bashes in. (Hmm...I wonder if she's the killer in the prologue?)

I'm surprised Frank's actually dead! I was expecting him to be MIA andthen wake up from a coma in 10 episodes. Course, he and Conrad could be faking his death.

Lydia has very convenient amnesia! Though I'm wondering if she's faking some of it. And Conrad's line about Charlotte being a real Grayson is so leading to a paternity reveal. (Also, I laugh forever at Frank denying worrying that Victoria reciprocating Frank's feelings. Transparent much?)

I am sad that Ashley apparently secretly hates Emanda, but maybe Ashley can learn the truth about Emanda and they can join forces.

Lost Girl 2.8: Well, I...could have done without a good chunk of the A plot in this episode, much as I like Bo and Lauren on a mission together. Also, I didn't hate Dyson this episode. In fact, I enjoyed him throughout. I forgot what that felt like. Also, interesting powers at the end there, Bo. Wasn't there something early in s1 about how succubi were rare? Given that Aoife apparently led a big rebellion or whatever, I'm wondering if we're going to learn that succibi are extremely powerful and the other fae banded together to get rid of most of them ages ago or something.

I'm guessing the old Ashe is the one who cursed Nadia? IDK how I feel about that. Though I think how Bo is handling this whole arc is a good sign of how much she's grown.

Meanwhile, the B plot, while predictable, was fabulous. You really can't go wrong with Kenzi or Hale, or Kenzi/Hale, in whatever context. Loved Kenzi's reaction to shirtless Hale, and Hale trying to be the mature, responsible one. (Actually, he's generally mature and responsible, just not in that particular context.)

Pan Am 1.8: Raise your hand if you weren't expecting Collette/Dean smoochies this soon! I figured they'd be saving that for the end of the season. Also on the probably-going-to-be-canon front, I laugh forever at Ted's comment about Laura being very patient in waiting for the right man.

I...am not sure what to make of the plot of this one? On the one hand, there were a lot of very good character bits for pretty much all of the main characters, but...well, I notice that our 1 regular POC (who has the smallest role of the regular cast) is absentee and while we get a lot of other POC and it's based on an actual historical concern, well, most of those POC are dead/scared/waving guns around, and most of their dialogue isn't English, and not all of it is subtitled. I think I see what they were going for, I'm just not sure it worked. But the various character bits were all very good.

And we had an episode where Kate wasn't on a mission! I mean, I have no objection to Kate on missions, but it's nice to know that every once in a while, she gets to have a flight without Richard and/or the MI-5 guy breathing down her neck about the fate of the free world. (Also, thank you, Richard, for being nice this episode.)

Also, Dean managed to have a personality the whole episode instead of kinda...being blandly nice and useful. I guess it takes danger and snippy people in his cockpit? It's possible Collette permanently fried his brain at the end though.

Nikita 2.8-2.9

Cassandra is a spy! I’m not sure I care about anything else? I’m sure fandom feels vindicated in hating her now, but whatever. I wonder how long Michael will be sleeping on her couch? I’m not sure how much she wants him there. So far, though, they’re handling the secret baby plot well.

When Nikita was freaking out about Birkoff being captured, did anyone else remember the bit in season 1 where she planted a bug on him knowing it’d be found and Amanda would probably get her hands on him? Completely different circumstances, but still.

Sean, I’m almost starting to like you a bit. Don’t let me down.
