Dec. 12th, 2011 12:40 amFor whatever reason, I ended up rewatching SyFy's Alice* and The Secret of Moonacre today. This means I accidentally ended up watching 2 things in which the heroine's love interest is an odd guy with too much eyeliner, odd fashion sense, deeply questionable morals, and a thing for hats, and in which Tim Curry is running arond in the background, gleefully devouring entire sets.
Had I not watched the two on the same day, I wouldn't have realized I owned 2 DVDs with that in common.
(Well, I own several DVDs with Tim Curry gleefully devouring the scenery, but that's another matter.)
*By which I mean "I watched the parts with Alice, Duchess, and Alice/Hatter that weren't about the all importance of Alice's father," and tuned out the parts about how things were so awesome when the men were in charge and will be great again as soon as a woman isn't in charge anymore, not to mention the parts where Alice's entire arc got devoured by "But it's her FATHER that's important, so that's the only reason we need her!" Rewatching is good for selective viewing.
(Actually, I'm doing a lot of rewatching of comfort-ish viewing right now becauswe I'm giving my computer a break from anything I might want to cap for a bit while I work on clearing out the backlog of caps I have saved for possible iconing.)
