666 Park Avenue 1.1: Well, that was...dull? It has potential and I'm curious about a few things, so I'll try to remember to check out thenext fewepisodesto see what characters it focuses on. But really, my main thought was "Doesn't Satan have better things to do than tempt white people?"

Elementary 1.2: Smoother than the pilot and they toned down on the filters the pilot seemed to have. No deep thoughts, but I really hope we aren't going to have a woman forthe victim every episode. It reminds me of why I'm not a fan of procedurals. I found Holmes more aggravating than I did in the pilot but less so than I have in other versions, and I'm glad they toned back on the "instabuddies" feel the end of the pilot had. Much more interested in Watson and her parents than with Holmes angsty London secret.

Haven 3.3: It's like the goauld invaded and became organ harvesters...

No strong opinions-largely a solid, entertaining episode-but I don't think I like how they seem to be changing the Duke/Audrey/Nathan dynamics this season.

Once Upon A Time 2.1: In most ways an excellent return. In one way...not at all.

The bad: Rumples/Belle. That whole bit where she said she thought he'd changed and left? It felt lifted directly out of a scene where a woman goes back to a husband who abuses her, gets beaten again, cries that she thought he'd changed and runs away. Which, really, is that entire relationship, IMO. So far, it's been all abuse and Stockholms. the 500 or so other pairing they've thrown at us I've been ok with, even though most don't interest me a lot. (Really only Snow/Charming and Abigail/Frederick have snagged me.) But Rumples/Belle strikes every wrong chord it possibly could with me. And we're probably NEVER going to get to see her develop or get a plotline beyond that abusive relationship and being self-sacrificing. It doesn't help that he's increasingly duller and duller. 9I did enjoy when he was all "But didn't everyone get what they wanted?!?!?" though.)

The ok/whatever: Aurora and Mulan didn't live up to my expectations, and i strongly dislike how their characterzation was almost entirely centered around the unnecessary triangle with Philip. That said, offing Philip right away was an interesting move and without him, I hope that they bond and I suspect i'll end up shipping them once they move past Philip. (I'm also thinking Aurora's mother is Briar Rose, and Maleficent put both under the same curse.)

I so do not care about Whale and his oh-so-mysterious identity. I have no issues with the actor, but it seems he always plays characters I dislike. Maybe I'll care once we know who he is? No idea.

Also, the opening scene (Bae, I'm guessing?) really should have been the closing scene, IMO. It may just be me, but putting it at the beginning just made me go "WTF WHO IS THIS AND WHERE ARE THE CHARACTERS I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT WAIT DO I HAVE THE RIGHT SHOW ON?"

The good: EVERYTHING ELSE. My needs regarding hugging in fiction were satisfied for about a month here. All the reunions! Dwarves bowing to Snow! Snow's "We were cursed! That is neither here nor there!" (Dude, you were having a lot more sex with Kathryn. Who was probably your wife's pal pre-curse. Granted, Kathryn is a wonderful person, as opposed to being a creeper.) Snow's flamethrowers! Regina being so chill about the mob at her door! Henry not wanting Regina hurt because she's still his mom! Emma being so confused about finding her parents and they still gave her up but they had to but it still hurts and 28 years don't go away just because you learn you BFF is actually your mom and a fairy tale princess!!! (No, really, I'm not sure I can think of a better way they could have done that.) The enchanted forest is now the dark forest! (Which, I have a thing for. Blame Ridley Scott.) I can't wait to see what Haven is. Probably Wonderland or Neverland.

Person of Interest 2.2: Well, no one involved in this episode has ever been to Texas. WE HAVE GOOD HOTELS HERE GUYS I PROMISE. And our police offices have better security. And the vast majority of us do not, in fact, own crossbows. (Sadly.)

No real opinion on the plot this week (I thought it was obvious that it was Sam and not Hannah who grew up to be root, but I do like her origin in general.)

But I liked Fusco dogsitting and the whole "I'll sleep in the tub! Or the floor." bit. (I forget his exact words.) I wish we'd had a bit more of that, TBH.

Surprised Reese found Finch this quickly, do not care about conspiracy dudes.

Revenge 2.1: Most of my thoughts can be summed up as "flaily mcflailalot."

Emily! Hardcore training! (Who is that dude you're throwing against rock walls and threatening with a knife?) And sending your sister postcards while training yourself regain your mojo and destroy her father.

Victoria! Not that I thought you were dead, but still! I was SO HOPEFUL that she and Emily were going to join forces to save Charlotte. But maybe they still will?

Ashley, free yourself from the Graysons and join Emily. I beg you.

And did Amanda just declare her eternal love and devotion to Emily AND threaten her in the same breath? SHE DID DIDN'T SHE.

THIS SHOW.

I'm not capable of anything deeper.

Revolution 1.3:

Oh Miles, you were not really at your finest at times here. (Had to remind myself that he doesn't know that Ben essentially went out of his way to make his kids as clueless about the world as possible and tied to their village at one point.) Also, Charlie has his number better than he has hers, and she's the more stubborn of the two. I think she's figured out that his priority isn't finding Danny (I'm wondering if his belief that Danny is safe as long as they think they need him as bait is that, or if he knows Rachel is alive, and that Danny is going to be used against her) but keeping her alive, and that he doesn't seem to really have limits in that regard, so as long as she withstands his tirades, she's pretty much going to have her way. And I'm glad that she got tired of the "I am a badass cranky loner here me snark" bit and tore into him a bit.

But the bit where he lashed out at Charlie for calling Ben a coward? I get that he'd been bottling up grief and trying to make people think he didn't care, but he was deliberately physically threatening and I dislike how the show doesn't expect us to care that he attempted to use his greater physical size and strength to frighten her into submission. (Even if it didn't work.)

I'm sure Charlie is getting a lot of flak over flipping out about Miles creating the militia (there's no DW or LJ fandom yet, and I've learned how to block people on tumblr, so...) but guys, it makes sense. He went from the cranky uncle who was helping her to the boogieman in about 2 seconds, right after someone (subtly bearing a nominal resemblance to her brother, I saw what you did there, show) died in her arms of the same wound her father did. Of course she flipped out. And then she calmed down.

I was pretty sure Miles and Monroe were going to decide the militia (any government) was needed while looking for Ben & co., but I thought it'd be later in the season before we got to that. Also, if Miles finds Ben and Co. on this trip, then that means that what's-his-name (Jeremy?) was probably with him and so might have realized who Charlie is. I mean, it's possible that Miles just happened to end up travelling with a young woman the same age his niece would be and ended up overprotective of her, but it's not overly likely. If he didn't have a clue, then he'd probably put it together once he learned about Ben? Nate knows, but his allegiance is less certain. Even if he isn't a double agent, he seems to be trying to avoid hurting Charlie and "Oh yeah, Miles Matheson is wandering around with his niece. GEE I WONDER HOW WE COULD GET TO HIM." is a pretty good way to endanger her. (And Danny. They only really need one of the kids to use against Miles or Rachel, and probably aren't above offing the other to make a point.) It's not exactly something that'll stay fairly quiet for long anyway, but it'll be interesting to see how that gets known.

All the Charlie and Nora bonding and blowing things up WAS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED. Pleaseopleaseoplease don't kill Nora.

The Danny plot this episode was...odd. I mean, pretty inevitable that one of the militia dudes was going to have a lot of hate for him for killing the dude (regardless of the circumstances) but something about how that played out was...off? Danny didn't look like he'd been beaten so badly he'd "wish he was dead," which makes me worry something else was done to him instead. And the look on Neville's face worries me. Not in a "Great, what will YOU do to Danny now?" way, but more...contemplative. Like and unhinged cat just caught a canary and wants to turn it into an unhinged cat too.

Previews imply someone dies. Previews lie about such things at times. I dunno. I actually like pretty much everyone. I guess if someone has to go, I vote Aaron. (Or Nate? But while he's dull so far, I'm curious about what he's up to.) It wouldn't surprise me if Ted from Pan Am killed Danny, but doing so without Charlie or Rachel around or able to learn about it for days or weeks would waste a lot of potential drama. I have a bad feeling, though, that it'll be Maggie or Nora (especially since Maggie got to see her kids' picture), and those are the deaths I object to the most. (I mean, Charlie and Miles don't count, they're safe. Though they might off Miles in the season finale. And they're probably going to kill Grace eventually, but not yet.) Regardless, we're probably going to have a third person die in Charlie's arms. (Stop traumatizing the kid, show!)
