Arrow 1.5: My main thoughts are (1) Show, why can't you give Byron Mann a shave? There's a very nice looking man under that beard, but you can't really tell, (2) Moira, you would be my favorite forever after this episode, except that Laurel is Black Canary (even if they're just going to tease us about it forever and probably not follow up on it for ages) and that's kind of stacked way too high against you, (3) well, at least someone pointed out the biggest logic facepalm in the show and tried to fi it (ok, a big logic face palm, maybe not actually the biggest) and (4) can we just have Laurel and Oliver learning to be friends for a while and getting to know each other again and maybe a lot of grovelling and working for it from Oliver instead of pushing how they are Meant To Be? Please.

Covert Affairs 3.13-3.14:

Recurring character named Megan, please don't die! That would just make me feel awkward. (Also, please develop better taste in men. Or check out your CIA contact. Either works.)

Show, please don't take Eyal from me. You already took Jai, wasn't that enough? (I suppose there's an outside chance he'll defect and be a regular next season, but I doubt it.)

Glad Joan and Arthur are working things out, even though her addiction was out of nowhere and still feels like the writers were scrambling for a way to have extra drama. Glad they brought Parker back for some better resolution there, and a bit surprised to have Jai's daddy resurface. I wondered if they were through with him after resolving the Lena situation. (Though it reignites my futile hopes that Jai isn't dead. Hopefully the actor has found a gig that appreciates him more.)

Haven 3.7-3.8: The Claudia Black episodes!

Claudia Black was excellent and I mostly enjoyed that plotline that ran through the two episodes, but i don't buy that Moira had an epiphany and immediately touched both Nathan and Nell. (I think that was the sister's name.) That she'd try to save her sister? Yes. But that she'd get Nathan too without question, not knowing if Nell would be able to bring her back the next day? Nope. I was actually kind of looking forward to seeing if Audrey and co. wouldn't let her save Nell without saving Nathan first. (Also, uhm, they seemed pretty sure that she could be brought back? I don't think they really have a precedent for expecting that, given that she died from the Trouble at sunset, both of which I'd think have a good chance of negating the resurrection.)

Not impressed at all with Tommy being the bolt gun killer. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT, SHOW. Sadly, though, I wasn't surprised by it. Also, am I right in thinking that Tommy is the first black Troubled that we've had? (I'd say "first POC Troubled," but while both Tahmoh Penikett and Eric Balfour are mixed race, I'm not sure if the Crockers are meant to be.) kind of leery about his inevitable return given how these episodes went down.

I've been amused at Audrey (and everyone else) assuming that "loved" meant "in love with" ever since the "you loved the Colorado Kid" bit came up at the beginning of the season, so was pleased with "he is...your son!" (Though, wouldn't Sarah have had to get pregnant about 5 minutes after coming to Haven for that?) I now really hope for scenes of Lucy bonding with a son her own age and Audrey bonding with a son old enough to be her father. (There seems to be a lot of "your kid is your age or older" going around US TV these days.)

Not nearly enough Claire.

Nikita 3.4:

Hi Owen! And your new set of issues that better not lead to either (A) A Michael/Nikita/Owen triangle or (B) you betraying Nikita. (I'm sure Ryan has a nice therapist somewhere in there. You should make an appointment.) Hi Amanda! I see you ditched your good hairstyle but kept the boyfriend. You kept the wrong thing. Hi, resurrection of Alex's drug problem! You are considerably less welcome.

Still not a fan of Birkoff/Sonya (Sonia? Sonja?) I'm glad she's getting more scenes this season (And that there's more variety in shots of her instead of 90% of her screentime being closeups of her face while she's at the computer. I mean, lovely face and all, but still.) but I wish they weren't mostly about her relationship with Birkoff.

No idea what I think of what they're doing with Sean. Sean! Stop trying to leave! And don't try to break Alex and Nikita up, it'll go badly for you. (And..I thought we went through the "Sean to Alex: I love you" thing last season? Or did I just assume it was understood?) But boy, no ultimatums with her! It won't go the way you think it will. Like Michael, you must accept that it will be a double wedding and a large house with two families and random spies dropping in for dinner.

Once Upon A Time 2.6: I enjoyed the present parts of this as much as I expected to, but didn't like the flashbacks as much.

My beef with the flashbacks is that we ended up with two dudes making decisions about a woman's life without her input. Though i am glad Henry's biodaddy isn't a total douche as we'd previously been led to believe (though Emma has good reason to think he is) if mostly for Henry's sake.

And I don't think August and Neal really considered what was going to happen when the curse was broken and they told Emma. And I don't see how letting Emma go to jail for Neal's crime was going to keep her on the right track. I mean, sending her to jail for a crime she didn't commit could have easily backfired bigtime and made her a career criminal. (And this didn't really seem to fit with August's backstory last season.) But really, August just proved that he was the uberdouche.

BUT! Emma vs the giant! Emma vs Hook! Snow vs Mulan x taking care of Aurora!

Given how obviously they're setting up Emma/Hook to some degree, I'm wondering if Neal is Peter Pan. Supposedly they were having trouble getting the rights to Peter but they were trying and seemed to get Hook and Smee easily enough. Though, the long term theory of Bae being Henry's biodaddy would create a similar conflict if they really are setting up Emma/Hook beyond his flirting, as seems to be the case.

I'm guessing that after Snow was freed from her curse, her nightmares were of the same place as Henry and Aurora's. It's probably Cora related.

Anyone else just want to hug Aurora? She has no survival or practical skills and knows it, everyone she knows is dead except 3 women who she's known for about a month and who she knows (or at least must think) see her as an obligation, and she got cursed and woke up and her entire world was gone.

Person of Interest 2.6: Did I mention this season is like awesomely crackstastic fanfic in the cases? Because it really is.

Fake marriage to spy on the POI of the week! Fabulous! (John, I'm pretty sure Zoe took you for every penny you had and possibly a few items of clothing just for kicks.) And Zoe and Carter met! Please have more scenes!

And after the machine basically trolled Reese earlier this season, I wasn't at all surprised to learn that it shipped Grace/Finch. A lot. It was a happily cackling lack of surprise. No Fuco and very little Carterthis week, though. That I don't approve of.

Revolution 1.7: Well, someone on the writing staff certainly likes Peter Pan.

I think I'm more upset that we didn't see anyone else getting involuntarily branded than that Charlie was branded specifically. Even though we know other kids were on the receiving end of the same treatment, the way it played out was that the Militia's method of forcible recruiting and brainwashing was represented by permanently branding a woman. (A brand which could only really be removed by turning half of her inner forearm into a mass of scar tissue.)

THAT SAID, I like how Charlie isn't afraid to get hurt to achieve her goals, and that she held herself together after it. She's also calmed down a bit from the last few episodes and is back to being able to show her idealism, even though there's some crushing reality mixed in with it, like her acceptance that they might not be able to rescue Danny. She's still teetering on the edge, though, and being branded with the mark of what is literally her worst nightmare (I wonder how many teens were dragged off by the militia in her village) is going to have some interesting side effects.

Glad Aaron finally came clean about the pendant, even if Miles almost had to literally hold him upside down by the ankles and shake him until it came out. Still peeved that he hadn't told Charlie about it before.

I LOVE RACHEL GUYS. I love that we have a mother who is manipulative and shady and has secrets and we don't really know what she's up to or has been doing or her motivations. I mean, I don't actually find her admirable (though so far I still think she's doing what she thinks is best, and am holding out for her to have Rebel connections) but I find her fascinating and am just happy this character exists.

Glad to get some answers re: what caused the blackout (and I'm glad Rachel knows a lot more than she said) and happy to see Grace again. I hope we get more answers before the 4 month hiatus.

I'm current on Beauty and the Beast, Elementary, and Scandal and am enjoying all but have nothing new to say about any. Though, as much as I enjoy watching Scandal for every important character but Fitz, I have no idea what the writers are thinking with the main plot.
