a quickie about the differences in my parents

After church this evening...

Mom:  "Hi sweetie."

Me:  "Hey Mom."

*lotsa chatter from her with appropriate responses from me for about 5-6 minutes, the only pertinent part of which is pertinent is that we'll see each other for lunch on Saturday*

Dad walks up.

Dad: "Hey shorty."(not tall himself, but still 8 inches taller than me)

Me: "Hi Dad."

Dad: *to Mom*  "Ready?"

Mom: "Yes."  

*starts saying goodbye to random church ladies*

Dad: *to me*  "See you Saturday?"

Me:  "Yup. Bye."

Dad: "Bye."

*exeunt parentals*

*random church ladies look between me and parents*

Me:  "Yes, that's normal."

*much blinking*
