I cut my thumb while making lunch today...hurts. Bandaid makes turning pages quite difficult. At least that's somewht balanced by the factthat I can wash my hands without have to worry about getting the bandaid wet.
And people are missing here at work, 2 explained, 2 unexplained, 2 just not coming in early like they usually do. Oh, and we have about 100 sales that are completely missing...why must these things occur when I am in charge by default?
And, I finished watching Orphen 2: Revenge(yeah, I finally got the title right)
Once it actually settled, the central plot was decent enough, though better suited to a shorter series. Still clueless as to where "revenge" comes from, as that only applies to a few episodes from the series. It was far from the worst anime I've seen, and at least it was funny most of the time and enjoyable as long as that blasted Lycorice kept her mouth shut(nails. on. chalkboard.), but it's also far from the best one I've seen. Largely only worth it if you like the (far superior) first series.
And that said...while I know a lot of female US anime/manga fans loathe most female characters in anime and manga, I rarely have problems beyond casual anoyance, at best, with them(see: Miaka) or indifference (I largely attribute this to fangirls seeing them as intruding on their yaoi fantasies, and as I'm not a yaoi fangirl, I don't have that problem)
There are, however, 3 characters whom I truly despise. The first is Zombie Kikyo in Inu Yasha. I am, however, largely over that as she's closer to Priestess Kikyo in behavior now, and is no longer being a horrid wretch to Inu Yasha and Kagome and making her mortal enemy(and theirs) more powerful. The second is Azalee from the first Orphen series. At least in her case, while the characters liked and defended her, the creators didn't seem to really have rose colored glasses on in her case. Then there's lLycorice. loud, annoying, clutzy, serving no purpose and fawned over by everyone no matter how much trouble she caused, and clearly a creative pet. When she wasn't chirping "Mr. Orphen" every 5 seconds and prattling about her mission nonstop, she regressed to "annoying" on the hate-meter. Sadly, those moments were very, very few.
So...
Orphen=GREAT!
Orphen 2: Revenge=only if you really really liked Orphen. And have a high annoyance toleration factor
Also, I want a Lecky. I really, really want one. He is too cute for words.
