52 Week #15-16: Best Montoya yet in this series. Granted, that's not saying a lot, but I'll take what I can get. I definately think that Supernova is a Booster Gold, just from when and where is the question. The wedding was nice, as was Black Adam's nervousness. As usual, not nearly enough Question, but YAY for the space heroes showing up.
Blade Of The Immortal #116: YAY! Non-experimenting on Manji stuff! Well, the beginning of that was, but it was actually rather amusing to watch all the would be Manji's falling apart. But Hyakurin's "wtf?" look when she saw Doa on Rin's roof, and her teasing Rin about Manji, made up for much. And Giichi looks so...so...so very very different now. Not bad(though he needs different clothes and a bath) just...different. Losing his job a couple weeks after losing his kid didn't go over very well, it seems.
Darkness/Wolverine: JACKIE!!!! It's been so very long(go away Logan) that I can tolerate a certain guy's presence(shoo, no one cares about you) Actually, this was considerably better than the last time Wolverine invaded a Top Cow book(ptooey! on Claremont) and was rather fun. I'm almost temptedto say it should have been a littlr bit longer, but then it likely would have ended up being padded. Still, I rather liked it, though I wonder if Tieri knows what Jackie's ethnicity is(his grandfather is referred to as "The Spaniard" when the Estacados are Italian...) And the beer scene at the end was rather fun.
Jack Of Fables #2: Jack, go sterilize yourself, NOW. I mean, seriously. That was low even for you. That said, I am declaring this book to be just as good as Fables. And Jack is...well, it seems there are some interesting things in his past. I demand Jack's-history stories, as he seems to have been up to the most interesting stuff the last few centuries(I've thought that for a while, actually) he actual storyline of this series so far is also pretty interesting, moreso than some of the stories in the regular Fables comic(though that's never been remotely uninteresting)
Manhunter #25: Ah Manhunter, I miss you already. And...since when is December considered to be Fall? On one page, DC says Manhunter will be back in December, and the next, in the Fall.(Yes, I know that technically, a fair chunk of December is considered to be Fall, but I don't think anyone considers anything post-Thanksgiving to be Fall...but I digress...) Anyway, a nice wrapup to MOST of what was going on, with some things remaining for the next bit...wheneve I get it...I miss it and am depressed already. Especially as Iron Munro just showed up...though, granted, I would have far rather had Jack Knight show up. Incidentally, how fitting is it that this book gets compared to Starman, considering who Kate's grandmother is?
Shadowpact #4: Blue Devil, I now adore you. How can I not adore a 6'+demon who lives in an apartment building whose neighbors consider having him lift a truck so one of them can fetch her pet from under it to be a good excuse for yelling at him to wake up. Some superheroes never get a break. Beyond that, typical Willingham funny-smart goodness. Manhunter is going away for a while, so I am now declaring this to be my favorite mainstream DC title.
