AKA, the end.
Quite good, all told. I admit that, once Sloth was dealt with, the bulk of my attention shifted to Mustang's military coup and him and Hawkeye running around Central in 1920 gear. I mean, once you've destroyed the monster you inadvertently created trying to resurrect your mother that almost was her, I rather think your story is mostly done(not that I wasn't still paying attention to Ed and Al)
The president? Topped traumatizing Al and took the "Worst Father" award away from Tucker...he deserved a lot worse than what Roy did to him.
Incidentally, had I not tied
forgottenpolishdown yesterday and forced her to tell me whether or not Roy and Hawkeye lived, there wouldf have been much angsting and wailing at Hawkeye crying over Roy's extremely bloody body. But how cute were they in his hospital room later? It was like he has a "to do" list and now that "overthrow the government" has been checked off, it's time for "marry Hawkeye." Not that I'm expecting all sorts of lovey dovey or even actual togetherness in the movie(which I'm about to watch) But dang was that boy obedient.
Glad to see Izumi didn't just disappear and came back for the end...far too cool a character to be around as little as she was. That said, it almost felt like they pretty much forgot about Winry towards the end, and while I like Rose, it's not to the point that I'll take her over Winry.
Al seemed to lose his brain for a bit near the end, but I guess he's allowed, still being, you know, a kid. But really, when Ed says "stay put," he should listen.
The ending itself was good, but seemed to pretty much be there to lead in to the movie. Which I am now going to go watch.
