anime: Spiral: The Melody of Logic, eps 10-13

Well, my posts about the first 2 volumes cover a LOT of what I'd say here, so I'll keep it short and make most of the post Youtube MVs, unless you really want me to repeat the premise and talk about Ayumu being the best-if often understandably irritated-anime boyfriend ever.  Though he really is--in these episodes, he calls her a goddess, spends hours trying to get her a silly stuffed animal from one of those machines, watches a sappy movie with her and falls asleep on her shoulder because sometimes, being a good boyfriend is exhausting.  He also delivers Christmas gifts for her, but I suspect that conversation went "AYUMU!  Come to the hospital with me so I can give this to Rio!"  "No, you'll just get kidnapped again!" "No I won'r they promised.  And I want to give her the present!" "Fine.  I'll take it, you stay."  "But I want to give it to her."  "Stay and I'll cook you lunches for a week." "YESSIR!!!"

Anyway, this one wraps up the Ayumu/Rio fight(which includes the "goddess" moment) and Ayumu is surprisingly smug throughout(deservedly so, even if it is just an act)  And I ask you, what kind of guy comforts a girl and tells her not to feel bad because she didn't blow him up after all?  Boy is too nice for his own good...  After that, we have a teensy bit of downtime before shifting to Eyes, the only one of the Blade Children who's really on the same level as Ayumu(above him, really)  I'm not the biggest Eyes fan, though I like him well enough, but he does have some of the most interesting scenes.
