meganbmooreFirst of 3 posts, featuring Kyo NOT being pervy(and in the other two, showing his protective side what passes as his nice side) It's really when we first get that the idea that there's more to him than being a homicidal, perverted, crass jerk(really, we learn about Kyo as Yuya does)
Here, we meet Mahiro, a female ninja who blames Kyo for her sister's deathy(he blames himself, too) Mahiro is a character I didn't care for a lot at first, but now I'm all "BENITORA!!! Stop crushing on Yuya, realize you love Mahiro and go make babies with her! NOW! Make her happy or there will be blood!"
So not Yuya...she has her fangirly "KYO!!" moments, but not like this.
In my volume from Tokyopop, what Kyo says in the last two panels is "Sure, you have the look down, but Yuya knows that she can't just dab on some perfume and seduce me...because frankly, she's not that attractive." Eiuther way, it's pretty much Kyo-speak for "bah, she's not that pathetic, try something else."
Later, Mahiro tries a slightly different tactic:
Mahiro has a point...he really isn't incredibly bright.
Little Mahiro is so cute.
